ZIONSVILLE NEW BUILD

Before it even came time to build, the Penczeks and the Emergent Construction team had a long-standing relationship. After over a year of knowing each other (thanks to a potential renovation that didn’t come to fruition), it came time for the Penczeks to build their dream home — and Emergent was the right company to do it.

In the summer of 2021 , our team dove into design, working closely with the Penczeks to ensure this home followed their vision of being the ultimate place for family gathering. From a sprawling ranch to plenty of outdoor entertaining space, they came with their must-haves that guided our team to create this “European hunting lodge.”

Breaking ground in January 2022, this custom build took one year to fully complete, with hardly any hiccups in the process. Through daily project updates, strict selection deadlines, and full transparency throughout the build, the Penczeks felt at ease throughout the whole process … and that isn’t just because they were close enough to stop by the job site often.

“All around, the building process was much better than anything I’ve experienced in the past … I was probably there almost every day. I never felt like if I brought something to them I was being a bother to the team. They were always accepting of my thoughts and feelings through the process.”

And now? Their stunning residence features over 1,000 square feet of screened-in porch space with 12-foot sliding glass doors that seamlessly connect the indoors and outdoors. The interior is a harmonious blend of rustic and refined, with beautiful masonry accents and an eye-catching kitchen hood surround. Some of the home’s most notable features include the custom floor plan, high-quality and long-lasting materials like a metal roof, and thoughtful future-proofing with solar and electric vehicle pre-wiring.

But most importantly, the Penczeks have a home that has everything they need and want — a home that we were so happy to bring to life.

“We like to travel and we liked to get away from home, but now … home has everything we want around us. We have a massive screened in porch, entertaining space, a workshop, no HOA — it’s just a big, beautiful space with our home. It’s home and it’s us. I look at floor plans online every once in a while and always think they can’t even compare to our home — ours is way better.”
