ZIONSVILLE TRANSFORMATION

After years of moving, the Vestels were ready to put down roots and make a house a home — one that felt like them. Their home search led them to a fixer-upper from 1978 that had good bones but was in need of a modern overhaul (goodbye sunken living room). And after an online search and a neighborhood recommendation, the Vestels found Emergent Construction.

As our team listened closely to their must-haves, the vision was settled: a modern farmhouse with sliding glass doors, custom cabinetry, dark vanities, two additional bedrooms, an extra bathroom, a walk-in pantry and a main level en suite. The renovation project kicked off in the summer of 2022, and while a few challenges arose during the renovation, it all came down to transparency and clear communication to keep things moving during the 10 month timeline.

"They were upfront about any additional costs, and actually helped us save money in other areas so we could splurge on upgraded flooring.”

In the end, the Vestels couldn’t be happier with the finished product — a bright, airy, open home that is connected to the outdoors. But most importantly? It really feels like theirs.

“We got everything we wanted .. there is nothing we would change. We felt like we got a custom home without the custom home price.”
