We didn’t start with big plans or flashy goals. Family ties to architecture and construction shaped our roots and our work ethic. We built ourselves through side jobs, borrowed tools, and the kind of sweat equity that teaches you fast. Those early years taught us how to show up, solve problems, and earn trust.
Milestones:
By 2014, much of our work came from investor-driven projects—steady and fast-paced, but lacking sustainability and creativity—sparking a bigger question: Who are we building for, and why? That moment was a turning point as we pivoted and leaned harder into partnerships with clients who valued the process and our custom work. This shift wasn’t just about what we built—it changed how we worked, and who we became.
Milestones:
These were the years we grew into ourselves. We moved into our first real home—shop and office under one roof—and sharpened the way we work. With the right people in place, design-build became more than a model. It became our mindset. One team, one roof, one shared standard. The pace picked up, and so did the purpose behind every project.
Milestones:
The pandemic forced a pause—but also opened space to refine how we work. We sharpened systems, adjusted roles, and pulled together. The strength of our team showed in the ways we carried each other—and the work—through uncertain times. These were the years we clarified not just what we do, but who we are—investing in the connections, communication, and care that define how we build. What people now recognize as “the Emergent experience” was truly solidified here.
Milestones:
With growth in projects and custom millwork, more space became a must. In 2025, the cabinet shop expanded into the full East 23rd space, while our office returned to Winthrop—where it all began. Bringing us full circle (for now), with a stronger team, a clearer mission, and a deeper sense of purpose. We’re not here to be the biggest—we’re here to be the best partner for people who care about doing it right.
